please pray for me - i desperately need deliverance from severe spiritual warfare oppression. its supernatural and i have been working with the church to get deliverance. i have many afflictions physically, can't sleep, etc. thanks 4 the prayer...

9.10.10 Yes I made it down to the area....just got home Wed. PM. I actually ended up coming earlier than I planned. My mother lives in Newport News. She had a heart attack & surgery so I had to pack quickly & take off sooner than expected. Then went back up to Hartwood to watch 4 of my grandkids while my son & daughter-in-law were in Hawaii for 8 days. I called about my RN licence...it's still getting processed. I looked at a couple properties but can't buy until my house here sells. I looked at RN jobs but haven't applied yet because I needed to get back up here to pack up my belongings & get my house on the market. Please continue to pray as this is very difficult saying good-bye to everyone that I am so close to & my house needs to sell as quickly as possible. I am trying to get some last minute painting, replacing doors, everything that will help it to sell. I am trying to give away as many of my belongings as I can.... we all seem to accumulate way to many things ! After 30 years in one house & raising 4 kids here it makes it
difficult to want to part with anything but I am doing it . I have an aunt that I am very close with who is not dealing with me leaving at all. She has no daughters so she claims me. Leaving my church family is going to be very hard... been in this church for 39 years. But my kids & grandkids are really looking forward to me moving to the area so the move will be worth it. Plus I still need to find the right job &
then the right house. So yes please continue to pray for me. I really appreciate all the prayers!

8.12.10 Hi....Thanks for your return message... I would appreciate being put on the prayer chain. I am planning on coming down sometime before the end of the month.... my kids are going to Hawaii on the 28th so I am babysitting 4 of my grandkids then. I will be using that time to job search. I may come early. I actually got hired here but it is only a 2 day a week with no benefits job.... can't live on that. My prayer would be that I find the right employment & then am able to sell my house here in Franklin quickly as I need the money from it for a down payment & I don't want it sitting empty.... besides I still have to pay utilities on it while it is empty. I can stay at my son & daughter -in-laws while I house hunt so can take my time doing that but also then need to find the right house. Lots & lots of decisions... lots & lots of reasons to trust God to get me through the next few months! ---Thanks, Donna Rodgers

I have a friend moving in to my house, Lori, pray for safe travel please? She is driving back from Oregon next week.
8.12.10 I have a few... if you don't mind. To start, a friend of mine lost his wife to cancer 5 years ago. He lost their daughter a month ago while on vacation in the Dominican Republic... hit by a bus while on a motorcycle with her and she died in front of him, she was 11. He is now in a wheelchair and about to start physical therapy. His name is John Reiner.
Second, my friend and co-worker Becky, I told you about before. She lost her husband on 7/18. She is doing better, but hitting an angry phase. Her daughter (Katie, 4) is just starting to talk about it to other people, and Becky is getting angry when people seem to have a problem with her being so honest about it with Katie.
Third is me. You know I struggle as a single mom. I have been in and out of Dr Offices this summer. First a biopsy (cervical), then another procedure that cut off a chunk. Now I go on Friday to see if I am ok now or need surgery. I have in my head that I can't have this issue because I have to be there for Dustin. I guess the prayer I am asking for is to make sure I am ok now so that I can concentrate on Dustin. ----Lisa Hotchkiss Kidwell

let me share Sunday we had 2 baby dedications and because of it we had 51 people and we had about a third of them say they would be back. Tell them to keep praying it is working and praise God for the answers he is giving so far. Thanks

8.12.10 I am so depressed most of the time because of our church and not being able to make it grow I have thought about getting out of the ministry sometimes I think this is not my calling because of it. I need to get away by my self and do some praying but I need others to pray to. This is a church where the people don't seem to want to pray. But as my profile says if we follow God to the end of the earth he will catch us when we fall or teach us to fly. Man I hope he teaches me to fly soon ---Homer Edmunds

Ayden was diagnosed in the womb with heart defects which would require extensive surgeries upon his birth. He was born Sat. morning; however he did not fare well in a procedure yesterday and is now on life support. Everyone in the family is struggling; please pray for Ayden and the family. - Jan Wilkerson

9.2.10 Katie came through surgery and is in her own room. Dr. Woke her up half way through and she moved all body parts. After surgery she asked if the rods were in and if she could move with a resounding YES! the Dr. replied. BUT more importantly YES was the reply from Christ Jesus the ultimate healer of Katie. My God is a Mighty God with amazing plans and a hope for all who love and serve him like my amazing niece KATIE!!! I LOVE YOU KATIE and will are all praying for a quick recovery. Thanks to everyone who prayed through this entire process. Now go and do the same for someone else

I am planning on coming down sometime before the end of the month.... my kids are going to Hawaii on the 28th so I am babysitting 4 of my grandkids then. I will be using that time to job search. I may come early. I actually got hired here but it is only a 2 day a week with no benefits job.... can't live on that. My prayer would be that I find the right employment & then am able to sell my house here in Franklin quickly as I need the money from it for a down payment & I don't want it sitting empty.... besides I still have to pay utilities on it while it is empty. I can stay at my son & daughter -in-laws while I house hunt so can take my time doing that but also then need to find the right house. 8.12.10 I have a few... if you don't mind. To start, a friend of mine lost his wife to cancer 5 years ago. He lost their daughter a month ago while on vacation in the Dominican Republic... hit by a bus while on a motorcycle with her and she died in front of him, she was 11. He is now in a wheelchair and about to start physical therapy. His name is John Reiner.
Second, my friend and co-worker Becky, I told you about before. She lost her husband on 7/18. She is doing better, but hitting an angry phase. Her daughter (Katie, 4) is just starting to talk about it to other people, and Becky is getting angry when people seem to have a problem with her being so honest about it with Katie.
Third is me. You know I struggle as a single mom. I have been in and out of Dr Offices this summer. First a biopsy (cervical), then another procedure that cut off a chunk. Now I go on Friday to see if I am ok now or need surgery. I have in my head that I can't have this issue because I have to be there for Dustin. I guess the prayer I am asking for is to make sure I am ok now so that I can concentrate on Dustin. ----Lisa Hotchkiss Kidwell

8.12.10 I am so depressed most of the time because of our church and not being able to make it grow I have thought about getting out of the ministry sometimes I think this is not my calling because of it. I need to get away by my self and do some praying but I need others to pray to. This is a church where the people don't seem to want to pray. But as my profile says if we follow God to the end of the earth he will catch us when we fall or teach us to fly. Man I hope he teaches me to fly soon ---Homer Edmunds

7.15.10 my prayer request has expanded....pleases pray for my children. they are at camp holiday trails (a camp for special needs kids in charlottesville,va) they are WONDERFUL, God filled folks there. i don't know about the other kids and their families but please pray that mine are covered and...yes that those other children are covered as well especially if they don't know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior like mine do.(if you get a chance, checkout their website....they do lovely work there and give kids with disABILITIES a chance at real camp experiences.) plus they do it all by donations. at first,camp was out of the question. we were truly blessed because we didn't have the 10% usually required to attend AND we owed from last year but they graciously said 'come on...bring those faison kids !! we wanna see 'em!!!' LOL LOL

my family is also looking for a larger home. do you know of anyone that has one available? we need AT LEAST a 3/4 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms (preferrably--thank you) in spotsy or f'burg. we'd like to move in late august or september. this house has a mold issue, the kids and i have asthma and well....it's not good.

lastly...i'd like to PRAISE GOD for being so merciful and good for helping doug find steady employment. now we can pay our bills, become INdependent and with that comes peace of mind.

7.15.10 my prayer request has expanded....pleases pray for my children. they are at camp holiday trails (a camp for special needs kids in charlottesville,va) they are WONDERFUL, God filled folks there. i don't know about the other kids and their families but please pray that mine are covered and...yes that those other children are covered as well especially if they don't know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior like mine do.(if you get a chance, checkout their website....they do lovely work there and give kids with disABILITIES a chance at real camp experiences.) plus they do it all by donations. at first,camp was out of the question. we were truly blessed because we didn't have the 10% usually required to attend AND we owed from last year but they graciously said 'come on...bring those faison kids !! we wanna see 'em!!!' LOL LOL

my family is also looking for a larger home. do you know of anyone that has one available? we need AT LEAST a 3/4 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms (preferrably--thank you) in spotsy or f'burg. we'd like to move in late august or september. this house has a mold issue, the kids and i have asthma and well....it's not good.

lastly...i'd like to PRAISE GOD for being so merciful and good for helping doug find steady employment. now we can pay our bills, become INdependent and with that comes peace of mind.

I wanted to ask all of you guys to please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. After being in the hospital on Saturday, the re-admitted me late Monday night to MWH. I absolutely hate this place, and I hate being away from my family. (Of course HCA--the new hospital doesn't accept my insurance.)

On top of the Crohns and everything else under the sun, they still think my gallbladder isn't working. Please pray that if that's they case they will remove it and I will heal quickly!

I started having a problems with blood clots which is also causing inflammation of the vessels, something is going on with my heart, (doc said it could be related to the clots) and I have Pneumonia again. The disease just severely weakens my immune system. Please keep praying if you don’t mind…I can use all that I can get.

Received word that Richmond Trinity Church (Pastor Rob Mills) has all approvals in place now to begin construction on its new facility on Hull Street in Richmond. We praise the Lord for this development.

Praying for Charlottesville First Church (Pastor Bill Willis) as they make important steps toward the construction of their new facility. They are in the final stages of approval of funds. Site work is ready to begin any day now.

Please pray for our newest NewStart congregations: East African/Eritrean Ministry (Pastor Solomon MIrach) which is meeting with the Alexandria First Church congregation at present, and Living Water Church of the Nazarene a developing new congregation in the western portion of Henrico County in the Greater Richmond area.

Please pray for Willson and Edie Aginer (Varina Church). Willson serves as our District W&W Coordinator and has just been diangosed with prostate cancer. Edie just recently lost her job of almost 35 years.

4.15.10 Please pray for my daughter. She's 22 and has lost the vision in her right eye and is very dizzy. She had an MRI today so we're praying the results are negative. She'll get the results tomorrow morning.
Praise report, test results were negative.
Still dizzy and blurred vision. Waiting on an appt with the neurologist to check for MS. She needs complete healing of the symptoms. Thank you!

5.10.10 Kimberly Herb Sluss - My next door neighbor's father passed away this morning. Clarence has been ill for several months and living with Connie and Steve since before Thanksgiving. Connie and Steve have been wonderful neighbors over the years and such a blessing to me. Please pray for their strength, the rest of their family during this time of grief. Clarence was a faithful man who is now with our Father.

5.13.10 Kristie Street Thank you so much! The stomach disease that I have has gotten better. However my health is still in poor shape. I started having a problems with blood clots which is also causing inflammation of the vessels, something is going on with my heart, (doc said it could be related to the clots) and I have Pneumonia again. The disease just severely weakens my immune system. Please keep praying if you don’t mind…I can use all that I can get.
4.14.10 I have struggled with my health big time the past 6 months. I'm called into ministry, and the devil is trying to interfere with me reaching my destiny and I refuse to let him win!! 4.15.10 Please pray for my daughter. She's 22 and has lost the vision in her right eye and is very dizzy. She had an MRI today so we're praying the results are negative. She'll get the results tomorrow morning.
Praise report, test results were negative.
Still dizzy and blurred vision. Waiting on an appt with the neurologist to check for MS. She needs complete healing of the symptoms. Thank you!

4.15.10 Amanda Larson Elliott - Me and the baby arent doing too good right now health wise. My blood pressure stays ski high and bc of it, its causing other problems. I go to the doctor today to see if he is going to be tken out early bc of it. If that happens he will be 8 weeks premature, Im just hoping that they can fix the problem before it gets worst. The name for what is going on is preeclampsia.

4.15.10 Ruth Underhill, mother of Sue Brown, passed away on Tuesday, April 14. Mrs. Underhill was 88 years old.

Sue is our NMI President and the wife of Mike Brown, our District Treasurer, Camp Manager, and New Start Director.

Mrs. Underhill lived in a retirement community in the Richmond area, so Mike and Sue and their family were able to assist in her care and spend time with her. She loved the Virginia District Nazarene Camp and would sometimes spend weekends there with Mike and Sue when they were at the Camp hosting a group.

A memorial service will be planned for some time in May. Please pray for Mike, Sue, and their daughters, Cheri and Stephanie and their families during this time of loss.

I humbly ask you to partner with me and PRAY for M-JAM!! The most powerful and significant support we can provide to M-JAM is PRAYER. Prior to the event, during the event and following the event, PRAY.

• Ask God to intensify your senses so you can envision the potential servanthood lying within the young people you know. Do all you can to encourage and enable these children to attend M-JAM. Maybe

your church or you could assist them with the registration fee.

• Pray for each young person attending the event – May God touch the tender hearts of the young people…He knows the plans He has for them. Let each heart be fertile soil so the Holy Spirit can seal the knowledge and experiences from M-JAM into their minds and hearts.

• Pray for each worker who will be participating, in any manner, in M-Jam. Let each worker love and minister to each young person as Jesus would. Let us be Jesus to them.

• Ask God to honor the hard work of Charlotte Holter, Director of M-JAM – May her efforts result in the realization that each young person has learned about missions in the Church of the Nazarene and has become aware of their own ability to become missional.

• Following M-JAM, continue to pray for those who attended. Let the young people, in difficult times, draw strength from the reservoir of knowledge gained at M-JAM.

Friends,Doug & I would appreciate your prayers for our son, Stephen, who is having back surgury tomorrow (October 27th) at UVA Medical Center.

About 19 months ago he had a near fatal auto accident; but God had other plans in mind for Stephen....and he has been back to work for a year at Sysco Food Enterprise working in the warehouse. In order for his back to heal the surgeon placed rods and screws in the pelvic area; which has proved to be very painful. So the surgeon is going to remove them tomorrow. As with any surgery there are risks involved. And we need your prayers on our behalf...pray for the surgeon, pray for Stephen, and pray for us.Stephen is a walking miracle...they said he would never walk again! But we know that God is a God of miracles; and He wasn't finished with Stephen!!!

Please pray for me. I am going through a divorce. I got married this summer and my husband left eleven days later. I didn't know that he was bipolar and apparently something triggered an episode. We are going through a divorce, he does not want anything to do with me and I don't even know why. He has changed his phone number and refuses to see me or even let me know what happened. Please pray for the Lord to give me peace and healing. My family says this is God's deliverance as the eleven day marriage was violent and hurtful but I am still in shock and I need God's peace.Please also pray that the Lord will provide for my financial needs and soften Jason's heart to at least provide financial help for the bills he helped incur. (I) wish to request prayer for the healing of my friend Peggy Rich who lives in Ky. She has cervical stage 2 cancer and goes to Loiusville Ky on sept 15th to discuss her options. She lost her husband to cancer around a year ago. His doctors gave him 3-6 months to live, it was all thru his body and going into his head. He went to church with her turned his heart and soul over to God, his 6 months spreadto over 6 years. Please keep her on your prayers, Thank you, Lynda

My husband and I moved here from Ohio in June to take a job with someone we didn't know and we trusted that his business was growing and would grow. It did not and he was not a good person. We've been out of work since Jan/Feb. and our only income is my husband's vet. disability and my unemployment, which runs out in 5 weeks. We are getting desperate because we can find no work and I don't know where the Lord is taking us. Our friend who moved from PA with his son to work for the same man, is now out of work and cannot find any. We have food for now (we've not been able to buy Angel Food) and the rent is paid until October. Please keep us in prayer. I know the Lord is working for our good and for His Glory, but I feel desperate and everything seems dark. I just need to know that He'll take care of us and our 2 ancient cats. we are 63 and 60 and do whatever it takes, but they are 14 and 16 and depend on us. May the Lord forgive my fears. Thank you. Pray for our finances, with times hard for everyone the church is not exempt. Pray God will provide what we need to continue to become everything we need to become. We are very low at this time but are believing by admitting our circumstancing and trusting God, He is going to send what we need.

God gives us lots of gifts, but U have a prayer request for DONALD & LORI ROSE for their 2 year old son MATHEW. Mathew had fallen off a trampoline ladder and was hurt. His parents to him to the doctors to find out that he had cancer. Mathew had a kidney removed recently and now they found out he is in his 3rd stage of cancer. I would love to have a prayer for him.

In July please pray for our new 1@1 prayer team. It is off to a slow start but I know with our prayers it will catch on and we will have 1440 minutes of prayer every day for The Bridge Worship Center. If you have not done so and would like to, please email me the number of minutes you will pray for God's church TBWC daily. I will post your efforts and make sure you receive the prayer requests.

Pray for us as we start to prepare to hold a 1 day VBS. This is all new and we need guidance from God about how to do this. We also need people to help minister on that day. We are looking at august 16th. We can help and reach many families with VBS and prayer.

Pray for Angel Food ministries. We are reaching more people then ever through this ministry. We delivered over 2000 units of food this last month. that was two tracker trailer full of food. We had two families visit church this week from Angel Food. Help pray as we try to find more ways to meet the needs of the people. I know God has more as this continues to grow. We are looking for ways to help people physically and spiritually. Pray that God will open hearts to the Gospel of anyone we touch.

Pray for our new Leadership team as we move forward as an organized church. We are off to a good start but please pray for us as we look in the future and what God has for us. We need unity of Spirit and guidance from God.

Pray for our new CARE group at Fran's home in Bumpass. This is a new outreach and we hope to have some AF people from that area join with us. Pray for more CARE groups and leaders.

Mike Brown's father, Lowell Brown, peacefully went to heaven on Wednesday night. Lowell Brown, 79, was a song evangelist in Church of Nazarene for over 40 years. He formed the Grace Trio and for two decades traveled throughout Florida ministering through song. He served at camp meetings and revivals from Indiana to Pennsylvania and to Florida.

Mike says his dad was a great dad and a great husband to his mom for 57 years.

As you may remember, they were air lifted from New Orleans to Georgetown University Hospital in DC where she was placed top priority on the transplant list. Over the weeks she has improved and was discharged only to return to the ER. She, again, has been placed on the top of the list for transplant for liver and partial bowel.

Richard Johnston is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given 6 months to live. IF it is God's will we pray that he will give comfort to our Uncle Richard. If it is in God's will we pray that he will take away this sickness and restore his health. God is the almighty physician. God Bless

As we move into the month of July, please pray for ministries being considered at this time. Divorce care, Grief Care, Celebrate Recovery and Parents night out.

Pray for the planning of our first Angel Food Sunday. Pray that God will give us wisdom in how to hold it and what it should look like, pray for wisdom in getting the word out to our Angel Food people. Pray for how you can become a part of planning this date.

We will start looking into a new building. We will let you know if we can start to look now or if we need to wait till a closer time of the end of our lease. We pray that we will be given the option of moving out early without penalty so we will have longer to look. Pray for God's will in this situation.

I am asking for prayer from my prayer warriors PLEASE. Most of you know the story and know that I have been standing and praying and believing in the restoration of my marriage for 6 months. Several events took place this last weekend leading to my asking for you to please take the time this week to pray for Tom harder than you ever have. Over the course of the last 6 months Tom has turned his back on God, his family and his belief in answered prayers. He has said that he may be moving out on the 15th, 5 days from now. After several very long conversations yesterday Tom is beginning to doubt and break. He cried before me first time in several months. He told me that he has told God that he has 5 days to come down and touch him and change his heart and his situation. He said he wants to see if God is big enough to answer his prayers and my prayers. Obviously He is answering. Tom just canâ€™t see it. I am asking as I fast and pray this week that you please be in prayer with me. Do as God leads you and pray that Tom will see and hear God in a very obvious way and his heart will change and he wonâ€™t move out and he will want to stay at home and restore our marriage. I have prayed that God use me as a vessel to show Tom unconditional love and caring. I thank you for forwarding this prayer request to all and any prayer warriors who will honestly pray with us for the restoration of my husband. I know God is big enough and I know that He does answer prayers.

These are events that we are hopeful of being able to meet new people, help people and we are praying for a chance to share Jesus with those God brings our way.
